Math and Art in Joint Math Meetings 2012

Boston was the the meeting place for about 7000 mathematicians - if I am not wrong it was the record number.
Even NPR featured this meeting on All Things Considered.
I was in Boston to accept 2012 Euler Book Prize. It felt really special to be on the same stage with famous mathematicians, but particularly with Bill Thurston. Here you can see the full Prizes and Awards booklet.
The Art Exhibit in this meeting has become traditional and well received. It is a juried exhibit and here is info about this year awards , there is also a video about it:

Some of my own pictures will follow - delay in posting them is because stright from Boston I travelled to Riga where I am now un til January 21.

Not featured in this JMM 2012 art exhibit but nevertheless artistic and hyperbolic is this animation of hyperbolic Christmas ornaments featured in New Scientist.
